The Morgan State University Cheerleaders face a rigorous schedule every year. The team cheers at every football game and all home men's and women's basketball contests.  Under the direction of Theresa Gibson, Kim Watkins, and Letisha Lopez, members of the team are involved in community service as well as participating in at least 6-10 cheerleading competitions annually.  The cheerleaders of MSU have held the title of MEAC All-Girl Champions 12 out of fourteen years.  The competition season opened with a 2nd place finish with Cheer Tech for 2005-2006.  The Cheer Bears also participated in The Harbor City Classic sponsored by American Cheer Express, as well as Cheerleaders Of America's Northeast Open Nationals and received the honors of Collegiate Grand Champion at both.
