Scholarships recipients are selected at two different levels. Rookies will be offered scholarships based on tryout scores. The most a first year team member will be offered is a $3,000 scholarship for the academic year. Veteran scholarships are based upon the ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, attendance, athleticism, participants ATTITUDE, and COMMITMENT from the previous year. Scholarships range from $500 awards to the equivalence of an in-state tuition scholarship amount. If any scholarship recipient falls short in fulfilling their ACADEMIC/athletic obligations during the first semester, they may forfeit all or some of their scholarship money for the second semester and most likely the following year. All scholarship recipients are expected to maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA at all times. Falling short of this requirement will endanger the life and amount of the scholarship for that individual.
